For the fastest resolution, include as much context as possible in your message. Here's what helps for common support topics:
Calculator questions
Tell us which step of the wizard you were on, what input you entered, and what result you expected vs. what you saw. Screenshots are very helpful.
Account access
Include the email address associated with your account. If you can't log in, include your browser and operating system.
Subscription & billing
Include the email used to purchase, the date of the charge, and a description of the issue. All billing inquiries are handled directly by our team.
Data & privacy requests
To request a copy of your data or to delete your account and all associated data, send an email from the address associated with your account with the subject line "Data Request" or "Delete Account".
Technical errors
Include your browser, device type, and a description of what happened. If you see an error message, copy it exactly into your message.
Bug Reports
Accuracy is a core principle at RetireCiv. If you believe a calculation is wrong — even slightly — we want to know immediately.
When reporting a calculation error, please include:
- Your retirement system (FERS or CSRS)
- The specific number that appears incorrect (e.g., annuity estimate, TSP projection)
- The inputs you provided (service years, salary, TSP balance, etc.)
- What you expected the result to be, and how you arrived at that expectation
- A link to the official source if you're referencing an OPM or SSA formula
We treat all confirmed calculation bugs as critical issues and aim to fix and redeploy within 24 hours of verification.
Feedback & Features
RetireCiv is continuously improved based on feedback from real federal employees. Feature requests, interface suggestions, and domain knowledge contributions are all welcome.
Feature requests
Describe the feature you'd like to see and why it would help you plan your retirement. The more specific, the better.
Content corrections
If you believe explanatory text on any page contains an error about FERS, CSRS, TSP, or SSA rules, please let us know with a reference to the official source.
